Manali Kasol Tour with Kheerganga Trek

Day 1 — Overnight Journey from Delhi to Manali

Distance / Time: ~530 km | 12–14 hours

The Journey: Board an AC Volvo bus from Kashmere Gate or Majnu ka Tila in Delhi in the evening (between 06:00 PM and 08:00 PM).

Overnight journey.

Day 2 — Manali Arrival & Manali Local Sightseeing

Distance / Time: ~15-20 km | 2 hours total driving.

The Journey: Arrive at the Manali early morning Private Bus Stand around 08:00 AM. Transfer to your hotel, check in and freshen up. Visiting Manali local sightseeing.

Local Sightseeing: Visit the Hadimba Devi Temple (nestled inside the Dhungri Van Vihar), the Ghatotkacha Temple and the Vashisht Hot Springs.

In evening Walk around the vibrant Mall Road for shopping or check out the hippie cafe culture in Old Manali.

Day 3 — The Mega Loop (Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, Sissu & Rohtang Pass)

Distance / Time: ~112 km | 5 hours

The Journey: Depart early from Manali to beat traffic and visiting Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, Sissu and Rohtang Pass.

Sightseeing Highlights:

Solang Valley: Solang Valley, the adventure hub of Manali. Enjoy thrilling activities like paragliding, zorbing and quad-biking.

Atal Tunnel: The Atal Tunnel is a 9.02 km engineering marvel that has fundamentally changed travel in the Himalayas. It bypasses the treacherous Rohtang Pass, cutting the journey from Manali to the Lahaul Valley from 4 hours to just about 30 minutes.

Sissu: Sissu (also known as Khwaling), Situated at an altitude of around 3,120 meters (10,235 feet) in the Lahaul Valley, it offers a stark, high-altitude desert landscape that contrasts beautifully with the lush greenery of Manali.

Rohtang Pass: Head back through the tunnel and ascend the winding roads to the snow-capped Rohtang Pass (3,978 meters) for breathtaking glacial views.

Head back down to Manali.

Day 4 — Manali to Kasol via Kullu & Manikaran Sahib

Distance / Time: ~89 km | 4 hours

The Journey: Check out from Manali and drive down towards Parvati Valley via Kullu. Drive deeper into the valley to visit Manikaran Sahib and Kasol.

Sightseeing Highlights:

Manikaran Sahib: Explore the iconic Gurudwara, witness the geological marvel of the boiling natural sulphur springs and have a sacred Langar meal.

Kasol: Kasol, explore the local flea market and relax by the roaring Parvati River.

Day 5 — Kasol to Barshaini ➔ Trek to Kheerganga

Distance (Kasol to Barshaini) / Time: ~16 km | 45 minutes

Trek Distance / Time: ~12 km | 6 hours

The Journey: Wake up early and drive to Barshaini, the starting point of the trek. The Kheerganga Trek takes you through dense pine forests, cascading waterfalls (like Rudranag), and steep mountain trails. Once at the top, reward yourself with a dip in the sacred Parvati Kund (natural hot water springs) under the shadow of snow peaks.

In the evening enjoy a beautiful mountain sunset, a cozy bonfire, dinner under a clear sky and stargazing.

Stay: Tents in Kheerganga.

Day 6 — Kheerganga Descent ➔ Kasol Cafe Hopping ➔ Return to Delhi

Distance / Time: ~538 km | 18 hours

The Journey: Wake up early to catch a pristine Himalayan sunrise. Eat breakfast at the campsite. Begin your descent back down to Barshaini. Reach Barshaini and take your cab back to Kasol.

Spend your remaining hours cafe-hopping in Kasol (highly recommend trying Israeli cuisine at The Evergreen or Moon Dance Cafe) or chilling by the river.

In evening, head to the Kasol or Bhuntar Bus Stand to board your overnight AC Volvo back to Delhi.
