Day 1 — Overnight Journey from Delhi to Mandi

Day 2 — Mandi Arrival – Transfer to Prashar Lake (Drive or Optional Trek) – Camp Stay

About Prashar Lake: Parashar Lake sits atop a scenic ridge surrounded by meadows and panoramic vistas of the Dhauladhar, Pir Panjal, and Kinnaur ranges, alongside the sacred three-tiered pagoda temple dedicated to Rishi Prashar.

Morning (06:30 AM – 08:00 AM): Arrive at Mandi. Meet your cab driver, freshen up and enjoy breakfast.

Option A: Direct Drive to Prashar Lake

The Route: Drive via Kataula and Bagi. Arrive directly at the hilltop parking area (approx. 800 m walk to the lake).

Option B: Prashar Lake Trek via Baggi Village (Optional - Cost Extra)

Trek Distance | Time Required: ~7.5 km (one-way uphill) | ~4-5.5 hours

The Route: Check into your campsite near Prashar Lake (tents, sleeping bags, and mats provided). Visit the ancient lake, watch the floating island, explore the temple grounds and catch the sunset from the nearby ridge.

Day 3 — Prashar Lake to Barot Valley – River Walk & Campsite/Hotel Stay

About Barot Valley: Barot is a peaceful retreat nestled along the Uhl River, famous for its cedar groves, British-era Shanan Hydel reservoir infrastructure, and trout breeding farms.

Morning: Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the high Himalayan peaks. Have a warm breakfast and tea at the camp, then check out.

Distance | Time: ~85 km | 3.5-4.5 hours

The Route: Arrive in Barot and check into your riverside camp or hotel. Enjoy lunch featuring local Himachali preparations or fresh river trout.

Sightseeing Points:

• Visit the Uhl River banks for a relaxing walk.
• Explore the heritage Shanan Hydel Project reservoir and haulage trolley rail track.
• Visit the state-run Trout Breeding Farm.

Evening: Leisure stroll through Barot village market, riverside bonfire and dinner.

Day 4 — Barot Valley Sightseeing – Joginder Nagar Drop – Overnight Volvo to Delhi

About Jogindernagar: Joginder Nagar serves as a key transit and cultural town in the valley, known for its narrow-gauge railway terminus, local bazaars and scenic mountain roads.

Distance from Barot to Jogindernagar | Time: ~40 km | ~1.5-2 hours

Distance from Jogindernagar to Delhi | Time: ~465 km | ~11–12 hours

Morning (08:30 AM – 11:30 AM): After breakfast, explore nearby spots in the valley. Short drive/walk to Lapas Waterfall or Kodh / Multhan Village across the river bridge. Spend quiet moments by the river stream.

Afternoon: Check out from your accommodation in Barot and drive to Jogindernagar. Arrival in Jogindernagar, Visit the historic Joginder Nagar Railway Station (Kangra Valley narrow-gauge line). Explore local cafes and town markets.

Evening Departure: Board your return AC Volvo bus to Delhi from the Joginder Nagar bus stand (typically departing between 05:30 PM and 07:30 PM).
